Gordon C.C. Liao

A south-side native and life-long resident of the Chicago area, Gordon is an entrepreneur, investor, and performer.  He is currently a co-founder and Partner of investment firms Modjule, Promise Holdings, Seismic CPG and 4C Capital. Through these entities, Gordon serves as a co-owner and Board member of various companies including but not limited to AKIRA, Hickory Farms, Gateway Newsstands.  Gordon is also the past President of the Goodman Theater's Auxiliary Board, former board member of the Chicago Sinfonietta, and co-founder and current Vice Chair of AAAIM, the Association of Asian American Investment Managers.

Prior to his current entrepreneurial activities, Gordon was a Principal with private equity funds Baird Capital and Reliant Equity Investors. Gordon received his MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Toigo Fellow and the Founder of the Asian American Business Association, and his BS from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, where he graduated with Highest Honors and as a recipient of the Bronze Tablet. 

Gordon's core mission in life is focused on lifting up underserved communities, with an emphasis on economic wealth creation and the enhancement of self-esteem through the performing arts. He is a published author and featured speaker on the Glass Ceiling with respect to the Asian Pacific American community, diversity in the alternative asset industry, and is also a published poet, produced playwright, spoken word artist and wedding singer.
